Last Tuesday before the holiday!!!!!

So I have found the time to go through your papers from the end of term examination, which means that you will be getting them back tomorrow.

Come to class and bring your computer and grammar papers. 

I will speak with you one by one and talk to you about your assignment, while the rest of you will work on your grammar and after having gotten the paper returned you will be asked to work on the mistakes in the paper too. I have graded them, but have not corrected your mistakes. This will be your job :-)

Monday

Today is grammar day.
I had planned to talk to you about your outlines, but since I have still only received 3 outlines in total, I guess we will just work with grammar.
So bring your grammar papers.

And send me your outlines as soon as possible, preferably before midnight!

Exam Wedensday

Good luck everybody tomorrow for the end of term examination!

Remember you may bring all your grammar papers, those I have given you and/or those you have from before. The rules for use of comma is under Grammar, download it to your computer, or print it to night, so you can use them.

Tuesday

We will continue with our new topic Human Rights.

You will need to bring your computer, your papers from Human Rights and your purple notebook. Those of you who have kept the booklet with the Human Rights must bring them too.

Monday

Today it is grammar day, so bring your grammar papers, pen etc. I have most of your purple notebooks, which will be returned.
Those of you who had the test last week, will have it handed back too.

For those of you who are not able to join us in class today, we will be working with chapter 4 in our grammar papers, and I ask you to look at it yourselves, when you have time.

Friday and a new topic

We will start on out new topic today, into which you will  be given an introduction, watch a small film and hopefully have an opinion about too.
Bring your purple notebook and a pen.

Tuesday

Work by yourself and make a new outline.
Choose another topic from the two main topics we have worked with so far, Youth of Another way of life, and make a new outline.
Look under Outlines for ideas for a topic and also to find the guidelines for an Outline.

Remember sources too, it can be film, text, webpages etc.

Grammar Monday

Bring your grammar papers, computer and your papers from the topic Youth.
We will do some grammar work, before you get the chance to work on another outline.

Test on Friday

Tomorrow, Friday, you will  be asked to take a test like the one you will have at terminsprøve, and as we had in the beginning of the year.
So meet me in D and be ready to work for one hour.

You are allowed to use a dictionary on your mobile or computer, or the old way as in a book.

Monday after the Holiday

Welcome back from you holiday. I trust you have had a wonderful time at home with family and friends.
I forgot to tell you last Friday that I will not be there for class on Monday because I have to go to a doctor appointment with  my son.
How ever do not despair, I have work for you all.

I would like you to choose a topic under Outline from the topics we are working with now, namely Youth, and make an outline. Remember to note your name, class, main topic, subtopic, reason for choosing this topic, and what you what to talk about. If you are able to find sources in the time you have Monday, please do so too. If in doubt look under Outline and there you will find a guideline to the exams and in that you can find an example of an outline too.

We will look them over Tuesday, so remember to bring them Tuesday together with your computer, papers etc.
If you have any questions I will be at the school from 5 pm. Monday evening.

Casual- /Flipflopping Friday

Casual Friday is an expression from Australia, which basically relates to the fact that many people working in offices are allowed to wear casual clothes on Fridays instead of the normal business-suit. Flipflopping Friday is a praise of the fact that it is Friday and therefor soon the weekend.

Well apart from this small information about ozzy expressions, I will ask you to bring your notebook and/or your computer, you may need it for the group work after we have watched the rest of the film.

Oh and I hope to be able to give back your assignments too.

So we have started our new topic Youth. We saw the first 25 min of The Perks Of Being A Wallflower, and will continue on Monday with more film.

• What kind of drug is it? How is it used/taken?
• Who uses it?
• Where do they use it? (it is only a specific part of society or is it all over)
• what are the consequences of using the drug? 
• what does the government do to control it/ stop it? (focus on USA and UK)

You will get time to work in groups on Monday and Tuesday, If you need more time than that you must use time in the evenings.

We will continue watching the Documentary on MDMA or Molly, so meet me in A.

Good job everybody on the test today. And remember it does not have any saying in your grades later on this year, it was just for fun - if a test can be call fun :-)
I'll run through it before we meet  in class on Friday, where we will have a talk about it and go through some of the difficult places.
