Gode råd og eksamenstider.

Så er alle outlines afleveret og sendt til censor.

Gode råd op til eksamen:

  1. Jeg vil anbefale jer alle at få læst igennem de tekster, som vi har opgivet til eksamen. Listen findes under Texts her på bloggen. Orienter jer i dem, og undersøg hvilke tekster/film det ville være relevant for jer at perspektivere til.
  2. Øv jer på jeres outline mange gange! Vær sikker på at I kan tale i 7 minutter. Hvis I ikke kan det nu, så find noget mere at sige. Hvis I har for meget, så overvej, hvad der er vigtigt og hvad der blot er fyld.
    Vær sikker på at I kan huske alt hvad der skal siges ud fra jeres stikord, så I ikke sidder tilbage med guldkornene, fordi I blev for ivrige eller usikre inde ved eksamensbordet.
    FISKEN PÅ DISKEN, kom med det gode I har at sige!
  3. I må ikke skrive noter eller andet på jeres outlines. I må kun medbringe den som den er, og det skal være den vi har skrevet under på. Censor kan nægte jer jeres eksamen, hvis I kommer med en anden udgave, eller der er skrevet stikord på.
  4. Kom ind i eksamenslokalet og ej rummet.
    Med det mener jer, at I skal komme ind med energi, smile og give hånd til censor. Introducer jer selv, og tag teten. Begynd med jeres fremlæggelse af jer selv, og vis at dette er noget I gerne vil fortælle os om. Det giver censor et rigtig godt første håndsindtryk, og viser at I er engageret.
  5. Hvis I får et spørgsmål, som I ikke forstå, så bed om at få det gentaget eller omformuleret. Det er okay ikke at forstå alt, men det vigtigste er jo at vise at I kan kommunikere, og derved og gøre jeres til at forstå os.
  6. TAL KUN ENGELSK!!!! Selv hvis I glemmer et ord, så sig ikke "Hvad hedder cykel på engelsk?", i stedet så forsøg at beskrive en cykel på engelsk, og så skal vi nok hjælpe jer, så snart vi forstår, hvilket ord i leder efter. Dette kan ikke understreges nok. Det er helt forbudt at tale dansk, indtil I kommer ind og får jeres karakter.

Alle møder til time, om man har afleveret eller ej. Hvis man har afleveret, skal man medbringe en kopi/et eksempel af sin outline, så man kan øve den sammen med en anden.

Info: We have read the text Letter from Lilliput Land and watched the video of a American traveler, before working in groups with the questions to the text and the task of comparing Marks view on Denmark to the American travelers view on Denmark. Also take time to discuss if there is some truth in what the American traveler says about Denmark and the Danes.

Questions for the film Camp X-ray


1.       Where is this film set? Write down what you know already, and later go online and find more information about this place.
2.       Who is Cole?
3.       Who is Ali?
4.       What is Suicide watch? Explain what is it, and how it is carried out.
5.       The Geneva- convention states how prisoners of war must be contained while in prison, treated and what their rights are. However, there is a way for the officers in Guantanamo Bay to avoid having to live up to the convention, how do they do this?
6.       Some of the prisoners at Guantanamo Bay has been there 2002, how many years has Ali been there when Cole arrive?
7.       What kind of life does the detainees have? Describe as detailed as possible.
8.       How are the detainees’ Humans Rights being violated? Name at least three examples.
9.       When Cole arrived to the camp, she is full of prejudice towards the detainees. Name some of the prejudice she mentions.
10.   How do you think it would be like to work in the camp? What kind of thoughts do you think you would have?
11.   The headquarter of United Nations, who wrote the Human Right Declaration, is located in New York.
USA and many other countries agree about the Human Rights, and fight for these rights in other countries.
Why do the world accept the way USA treat these detainees?
Do you think USA and other countries in UN would accept this kind of prison camp and the way the detainees are treated, if it was in FX Iraq, Pakistan? Why/why not?
Can it be justified in any way to take people from their homes, their families, moving them to an unknown place and keep them there for years and years?
Is it right for the USA to have these camps?

For those of you who were not present in class Monday, you can find the new texts in the desk drawer in the classroom. Only take the one with your name on it. We have read the first text already

Questions to:

A former child soldier tells his story


  1. Who is telling the story? Where does he come from?
  2. What was his life like before the war entered his life? What interested him the most?
  3.  On page two he writes that he “didn’t think anyone would be capable of doing some of the things we had heard people were doing to each other”. What do you think he is thinking of here?
  4. What did they see when they tried to go home? And what did they decide to do instead of going home?
  5. What did Ishmael feel like when he found out that his family had been killed? Do you understand why he felt like that?
  6. Where did Ishmael and his friends go after having learned that his family was dead? Why did they stay there in the first place? Why didn’t they leave when they found out that they had to fight?
  7.  What were the boys given?
  8. Why didn’t Ishmael try to stop being a soldier?
  9.  Ishmael writes that the group became a surrogate family. How is this possible do you think?
  10.  How did Ishmael get away from the group? Why do you think the lieutenant help him?
  11. What happened to Ishmael when he left the group?

·          In 2011 children where active in combat in how many countries/territories?
·         When are children most likely to become child soldiers?
·         Name three reasons how or why some children become soldiers.
·         What is a warlord? Go online and find an example from real life. (Help: try to write a country or region in front of the word warlord, if you use google search for ex.)

·         How do you think the children become “frighteningly cold and effective” child soldiers?

1.       What is Human Trafficking? Go online and find at least three examples of human trafficking.
