5. Outline for the topic Rights

Find a topic under the main topic Rights and make an outline. This must be handed to me, printed, Friday (the 12th of February) at the end of class.
Go to Outline on our blog and find a topic, or find one yourself, and make an outline. See an example by following the link.

4. Amnesty International.

Go to the webpage Amnesty International and find a case, ex you can read about Death penalty and Japan, rape and marriage in Tunisia or something else you find interesting. Try to look under Latest and Campaigns (When you have found a case, come and tell me about it, so we can avoid you all present the same case)
Read about the case, and prepare a presentation on class about it. Try to go to other webpages and find statistics or other information too.

In your presentation, tell us about:
  1.  What is the case about?
  2. Which Human Rights are being violated in the chosen case?
  3.  In which way does Amnesty International suggest to help in the chosen case?
  4.  Do you have other ideas for what we could do?
The presentation should be at least 5 min. long, and make sure every one in the group say something (but be aware that you may have to take over if one should be sick or absent)

Feel free to make a PowerPoint or Prezi to support your presentation. Maybe you can find a smal film to support you too.

You can find all the articles in the Human Right Declaration here.

1.Written assignment: A diary

Write a few entries in a dairy from one of the Characters we have read about in the texts from our compendium. It can be a person with a physical disability, a homeless, a drug user, an overweight person etc. You choose whom ever you want to write like, it does not have to be that specific person in the texts, but one similar.

In the diary entrances it is important to write examples of how their life is different from us, and which struggles or choices they have to deal with.

Write at least 400-600 words. Do not write less than 400 or more than 600, it is important to also be able to limit yourself.

Remember to think about the layout.

Due date is on the 28th of September. You can send your assignment to me via Intra.
Remember to write name and amount of words on the assignment (these are not included in the 400-600 words)

The paper is due at 10 p.m. to night. You can mail it to me via Intra or send it to jannistroemstad@gmail.com. It has to be in my inbox before 10 p.m or I will consider it turned in too late.
